I wasn't sure if this should go in the Xbox Realm or not, so move it if you want to.

IS IT JUST ME, OR IS THIS GAME LOOKING TO BE EPIC

Obviously we all know (except for fags without Xbox 360's) what Halo: Reach is a prequel to the Halo trilogy. Also, this will be the last Halo game that Bungie Studios will develop themselves, with the franchise being passed on to 343 Industries (a subsidary of Microsoft, with it's name based on the Halo character '343 Guilty Spark')

And in the past few days, Bungie has released their first ViDoc (video documentary) for Reach. It dives into the more "technical" aspects of the game, as well as starting development.

After watching this one, I got more excited for this game than I was before. Bungie finally realized Halo needed an update. Here is the video:

The improvements of the new engine look awesome compared to Halo 3. It looks much more realistic, and less like Fisher Price: My First FPS. I mean look at the difference in detail in the marine's faces! Halo 3 didn't look bad, but comparing the two now it's no contest. But I also love how Bungie is keeping the spirit of the series. The fact that the Elites are no going to be "alien" instead of almost humanoid is awesome. ALSO, FUCKING COMBAT KNIVES!!

This looks like it's gonna be an epic game, with a good campaign and probably good fresh multiplayer like back in the Halo 2 days.

Anyway, discuss

Equipment is gone, bubble shield and shit like that, along with the usual overshield and active camo.  There are going to be these things called armor upgrades, one is going to be like a speed armor that boost your speed or something, and you can only carry 1 upgrade at a time I think.
